INQUIRE WITH JOANNA

My parents didn't hire a professional wedding photographer. To this day, it's one of their biggest regrets.

Growing up, my sister and I loved asking them about their love story and the day our family began. Every time they pulled out their wedding album they would start with the same disclaimer: "The photos aren't very good. We made the mistake of not investing in a professional wedding photographer."

As a child, I didn't understand why they always felt the need to explain. I was simply captivated by the photographs because they were my parents' wedding day. Those images held the beginning of our family's story, and to me, that made them priceless.

Looking back, I understand what they meant.

It wasn't that they wished they'd planned a different wedding. They wished they had a more beautiful, more complete way to remember it. They wished they had photographs they couldn't wait to display, share with future generations, and return to whenever they wanted to relive how it all felt.

That realization became the foundation of my passion for wedding photography.

Today, as a New York and destination wedding photographer, my purpose is simple: to give my couples something my parents never had. Photographs that become part of your family's legacy. Images you're proud to hang on your walls, pass down to your children, and revisit decades from now. Not just because they remind you what your wedding looked like, but because they bring you back to exactly how it felt to begin your life together.
